A long weekend in spring, where you are immersed in tango and nature.
Matias Tripodi - a great discovery for TiT in 2025!!!
Matias was the guest teacher at our summer tango week in the Ardèche in July 2025. Born in Buenos Aires in 1985, Matias Tripodi is a multidisciplinary artist based in Paris. A dancer, tango teacher, linguist, and choreographer, Matias has carved out an atypical career path spanning several disciplines. He trained in traditional tango venues in Buenos Aires since the age of 17 and at the Academia de Estilos de Tango Argentino (ACETA, Secretaria de Cultura de la Nación Argentina). At the same time, he studied linguistics at the University of Buenos Aires. These two fields have influenced his work, leading to the development of a theoretical and creative approach. Matias has created a contemporary vision of tango, supported by a series of experiences and collaborations with prestigious companies and cultural organizations in Europe and Argentina. With his unique career, Matias specializes in the articulation of creative disciplines and languages, maintaining his own aesthetic signature.
He will inspire, train, and coach us intensively.

The Venue
Cradled in the gently rolling fields of the state of Saxony, a large farm has been transformed, over the last 30 years, into a seminar center. Gut Frohberg.
They offer lodging in single and double rooms with private bathrooms. Next to that you can also stay in a dorm room or pitch your own tent or park your mobile home.
Gut Frohberg offers 5 dance rooms with wooden floors, a barrel sauna, an open-air yoga rooftop, and plenty of open space for walks alone or in good company. There is also a small private lake for an early morning or late afternoon dip. All elements that are needed for a great time together in one package.
An experienced team in the kitchen serves all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in the spacious dining hall.
Situated 40 km outside of Dresden, right next to Meissen, it is easily reached by public transport. We will organize a shuttle service for the last leg for those who need this.

Thursday, April 30
As of 10:00 arrival on site.
Soft yoga class in the afternoon.
First tango class at 17.00.
First evening milonga after dinner
Friday till Sunday, May 01 - 03
3 hours of workshops per day by Matias, practice time under the guidance of Matias, and evening milonga. An intense time to further develop both your Tango dance roles.
The group will be around 30-40 participants for the whole weekend. We keep the group small on purpose, to dive deep into the classes, practice what we learned, and meet with the other participants. A moment to connect with yourself, the teachers, the dancers. Small and intimate is the theme for this gathering.
We will dance to traditional tango music.
The topics for the weekend will be communicated later.
Matias Tripodi
After having experienced Mathias during our summer TiT event in the Ardeche, we are happy that he will come and share with us his vision on dancing.
His classes are well-structured, with time to try and feel the proposed topic. His attention to detail, his profound knowledge of dance (both tango and contemporary dance), and his understanding on how our bodies work convinced me to invite him for our event at Gut Frohberg.

Fanette
It's exciting for us to invite Fanette to Gut Frohberg. She has been our host for 2 TiT events at her home in France, and there she also offered the morning Yoga classes.
I have the joy of gently preparing our bodies for the tango classes that will follow.
I will accompany you on the path of connection to your body and your emotions. Together, we discover relaxation and tensioning, axis and balance, all while working on our breathing.
She will teach in English.
