Schönnewitz 9, 01665 Käbschütztal / Meissen (DE)

Expand your tango borders

A long weekend in spring, where you are immersed in tango and nature.

Eugenia Parrilla and Yanick Wyle  -  a new discovery for TiT!!!

Passionate Tango Dancers, over the past 20 years, they studied many dance techniques, and have built a profound understanding of the body.

In their dancing, they use and mix different dance styles, while remaining true to Tango, and this is just what makes it so attractive for Totally in Tango.

They will inspire, train, and coach us intensively.

Together, we go one step further!

The Venue

Cradled in the gently rolling fields of the state of Saxony, a large farm has been transformed, over the last 30 years, into a seminar center. Gut Frohberg.

They offer lodging in single and double rooms with private bathrooms. Next to that you can also stay in a dorm room or pitch your own tent or park your mobile home.

Gut Frohberg offers 5 dance rooms with wooden floors, a barrel sauna, an open-air yoga rooftop, and plenty of open space for walks alone or in good company. There is also a small private lake for an early morning or late afternoon dip. All elements that are needed for a great time together in one package.

An experienced team in the kitchen serves all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in the spacious dining hall.

Situated 40 km outside of Dresden, right next to Meissen, it is easily reached by public transport. We will organize a shuttle service for the last leg for those who need this.

Come and enjoy, you'll feel at home for sure.

Thursday, May 09

As of 10:00 arrival on site.

First class after lunch, at 14.00.

First evening milonga after dinner

Friday till Sunday, May 10 - 12

4 hours of workshops per day by the teachers, practice time, and evening milonga. An intense time to further develop both your Tango dance roles.

The group will have a maximum of 30 participants for the whole weekend. We keep the group small on purpose, to dive deep into the classes, practice what we learned, and meet with the other participants. A moment to connect with yourself, the teachers, the dancers. Small and intimate is the theme for this gathering.

During our time at Gut Frohberg, Korey Ireland will be present with some of the musicians of the Berlin Community Orchestra for music training.  We might get treated to life music by the musicians, and musical insights from Korey.

Eugenia Parrilla and Yanick Wyle

I'm proud to have Eugenia and Yanick as the teachers for these learning days.  They are so versatile and have so much knowledge of dancing in general, and tango in particular that I am convinced each of us will get a lot from them.   Below is how Eugenia and Yanick introduce themselves and their teaching style.

We love Tango because it keeps our sensations alive. We learn the subtleties of listening and what the body perceives in this dialogue. It connects us to our femininity and masculinity, in a vulnerable state, which is a challenge.
Tango is passion, nostalgia, enjoyment, play, fun, and freedom.

Tango unifies body, mind, and soul

Tango is a social improvisation dance and we teach you how to discover your creativity.  From the mindset of feeling comfortable in our body, we work on the embrace and the connection with our partner.

We focus on bringing awareness to the internal alignment of our posture and on achieving balance, stability, and functionality in all movements.

We teach how the body can adapt to a movement and learn to connect with physical sensations in order to find comfort within the movement.

The fun of playing and combining ideas with different rhythms.

Our teaching style is passionate and ambitious.

We believe everyone can learn within their own possibilities, no matter what.

We have a profound understanding of the body and have studied many different techniques over the last 20 years.
