About Totally in Tango
A double-role tango community since 2016
Totally in Tango (TiT) was founded in 2016 by Ludo Decreus and Julija Zaiceva, with its first event in Mouscron, Belgium.
What began as a single gathering has grown into an international series of double-role Argentine tango events, bringing dancers together at different destinations across Europe.
Over the years, TiT has become much more than a series of tango weekends. It is a community of dancers who return to meet friends, make new connections, explore both roles and enjoy tango together.
The spirit of Totally in Tango
At the heart of TiT is a simple idea: tango becomes richer when we explore both leading and following.
Our events bring together dancers who enjoy both roles or are open to discovering them. We value curiosity, mutual respect, and the freedom to connect with different partners, without fixed expectations about who should lead or follow.
Every dancer brings something different to the dance floor. There is room to learn, experiment, make mistakes, improve and simply enjoy dancing.
Different places, the same spirit
No two Totally in Tango events are exactly alike.
Some weekends focus on social dancing, while others offer workshops, guided practicas or more intensive learning experiences. Depending on the destination, cultural activities and shared meals add another dimension to the gathering.
We collaborate with local tango communities, international teachers, DJs and volunteers to give each event its own character.
Wherever we go, the intention remains the same: to create a welcoming space for double-role dancing, meaningful connections and the pleasure of being together.
The people behind TiT
Totally in Tango is organised by Ludo Decreus and Julija Zaiceva, together with local collaborators and friends throughout Europe.
Our shared love of tango, and especially the freedom of dancing both roles, continues to inspire every event we organise.
In 2026, we celebrated ten years of Totally in Tango. To mark the anniversary, tango journalist Ute Schiffer wrote an article for Tangodanza magazine about TiT's history, its dancers and the community that has developed over the years.
