The Venue

Ringcross Community Center has a long-established tradition of welcoming groups for various parties.

2 minutes away from Caledonian Road and the tube station and easy access to buses.

The Centre has a large hall of 210 m2, high ceilings and parquet floor. There is loads of natural light and air as it has windows across two sides of the hall.

I'm sure we will feel right at home.

Julija and I met Adriana in Brussels in 2017, at the early start of  Totally in Tango. We were fascinated by her ideas and propositions. It took many years, but now we found a space to collaborate.

Adriana Pegorer is an interdisciplinary dance artist. In 2024, she started the Double Role
London Practica, a horizontal space where fluid connections are made while dancing
without the limitations that a class or a milonga may impose.
She belongs to the first generation of Contact Tango practitioners. Her training in Tango
Argentino and Contact Improvisation began in the 1990s and she curated the first
International meeting in 2012 near Berlin.
Adriana has taught Tango Argentino on her own since the beginning, dancing both roles
also at Milongas, driven by necessity and …inspiration!
She has devised, performed, and produced experimental works mixing choreography with
improvisation, dance videos and new technology. She holds a BA in Dance and Related
Arts (2001) and an MA in Dance Anthropology (2024). Her work has been shown in
Argentina, USA, Canada, Buenos Aires, China and Europe.
Her academic writings include 'Performing Gender in Milongas of Buenos Aires' (2008);
' Tango Diferente: Exploring Tango Argentino and Contact Improvisation at Ponderosa'
(2013); ‘It takes two to win' (2015), ‘Why Contact Tango?’ (2020) [also translated in
Spanish and German] and ‘Female Tango Leaders' (2024).
