Malin Backström (Stockholm) is a pioneer in the development of queer and double role dancing in Sweden. 1998 she started dancing latin & ballroom, participated in”same sex dancing” competitions over the world, and started teaching her own classes. In 2010 she co-founded Queer Salsa Stockholm and she was also involved in the creation of queer lindyhop in Sweden.

Since 2013 she is mainly dancing and teaching Argentinian tango. She runs her own dance studio in Stockholm, “Studio Touch”, and – together with Henny Stridsberg – the dance school “Tango Queerer”.

The   Venue

Tango Atico will be our home for this third edition of TiT in Hamburg.  It is a dedicated tango studio, with a wooden floor and a superb sound system. I'm grateful to Andrea and Andre that they let us use their Tango-Home for our weekend.
